Community Mural Project

Blue Hill Co-op is very excited to invite artists from the community to help us create another beautiful, collaborative mural for our vestibule at 70 South Street.

How It Will Work

Like the first mural, this one will be made up of hexagons, each designed by a different artist. Once all the artwork is submitted, it will be scanned, arranged digitally, and printed onto wallpaper for installation in the vestibule, between the two doors. We will provide a template upon sign-up to ensure that your hexagon is the right size to fit on our scanner. The deadline for artwork submission is Saturday, June 1.

A mock-up of the mural’s layout. There are 78 hexagons to be filled! The Co-op is reserving 7 for our branded artwork.

on the theme

For a theme, we ask the artists to find inspiration in key elements of our Co-op and community: good food, wellness, cooperation, sustainability, inclusivity, and community.

Who Can Participate?

This project is for Co-op owners who are professional, amateur, and youth artists of all 2D artistic styles. We only ask that you follow the instructions and guidelines. (Youth artists must be in a family with an ownership account). If you already participated in the original mural, you can still sign up to create another hexagon. We will prioritize submissions from new artists, though, so there's a chance not every hexagon will get printed on the new wall. However, with 78 more hexagons needed, there should be room for everyone!

A Thank You

All artists who submit a completed hexagon will get one month with a Working Owner discount as a thank you.
